PROSTATE CANCER

Prostrate surgery is extremely dangerous and coupled with fatal consequences. The life stories of those who survive prostrate surgery are the same, narrating that out of 20 billed for surgery only about 3 persons may survive with disastrous consequences of paralyzing the two legs, this has made many to go on wheelchair till death.

Why is that so? And what is prostate gland? The picture shown on this script is self-explanatory. However prostate gland is a solid organ that surrounds the first part of the male urethra just below the bladder. It produces secretion that forms part of the seminal fluid during ejaculation. It is also worthy to note that ejaculatory ducts from the seminal vesicles, pass through the prostate gland to enter the urethra. If the enzyme or fluid produced by prostate is in excess, it may indicate benign or malignant cancer. Excessive ejaculation may also cause defect in prostate gland thus leading to prostate enlargement.

The enlargement if not controlled will press on the urethra compressing it to close and prevent urine flow from the bladder. This gives rise to minor surgery of inserting a tube or catheter to bypass urethra into the bladder where urine passes though into a plastic or urine bag outside the body. Another option is a surgery where a solid non-compressive short tube is inserted in the urethra to the depth penetrating to the area of prostate gland; this allows urine to flow non-restrictive through the urethra.

However, these methods are palliative not a cure of enlarge prostate. The best alternative are Acupuncture and Naturopathy remedies.

Factors that increase the risk of prostate cancer include: older age, a family history of the disease, and race. About 99% of cases occur in those over the age of 50. Having a first-degree relative with the disease increases the risk two to threefold. In the United States, it is more common in the African American population than the white American population. Other factors that may be involved include a diet high in processed meat, red meat, or milk products or low in certain vegetables.  An association with gonorrhea has been found, but a reason for this relationship has not been identified.  Prostate cancer is diagnosed by biopsy. Medical imaging may then be done to determine if the cancer has spread to other parts of the body.

SYMPTOMS OF PROSTATE CANCER

There are no warning signs of early prostate cancer. Once a tumor causes the prostate gland to swell, or once cancer spreads beyond the prostate, the following symptoms may happen:

  • A frequent need to urinate, especially at night
  • Difficulty starting or stopping a stream of urine
  • A weak or interrupted urinary stream
  • Leaking of urine when laughing or coughing
  • Inability to urinate standing up
  • A painful or burning sensation during urination or ejaculation
  • Blood in urine or semen

DIET AND LIFESTYLE

The data on the relationship between diet and prostate cancer is poor. In light of this the rate of prostate cancer is linked to the consumption of the Western diet. There is little if any evidence to support an association between trans-fat, saturated fat and carbohydrate intake and risk of prostate cancer. Evidence regarding the role of omega-3 fatty acids in preventing prostate cancer does not suggest that they reduce the risk of prostate cancer, although additional research is needed. Vitamin supplements appear to have no effect and some may increase the risk. High calcium intake has been linked to advanced prostate cancer. Consuming fish may lower prostate cancer deaths but does not appear to affect its occurrence. Some evidence supports lower rates of prostate cancer with a vegetarian diet.  There is some tentative evidence for foods containing lycopene and selenium. Diets rich in cruciferous vegetables, soy, beans and other legumes may be associated with a lower risk of prostate cancer, especially more advanced cancers.

Men who get regular exercise may have a slightly lower risk, especially vigorous activity and the risk of advanced prostate cancer.

Therefore, a great deal of surgery around the lumbar region which include prostate gland, the waist etc. destroy the spinal cord nerves and result in death and paralysis. This is the reason why Acupuncture and Naturopathy treats prostate and waist pain without drug or surgery.
